The Montevallo area is a unique market that features outstanding quality of life, excellent educational institutions, available labor and
proximity to the major metro-market amenities of Birmingham and Montgomery. A strong coalition of Chamber leaders are committed to making Montevallo a better place in which to live and work. These leaders understand the
importance of leveraging resources so that Montevallo's economic-development program
will meet its goals, stimulate the economy, create new jobs, and enhance the
tax base. The Chamber has taken great care to assist in recruiting businesses and industries willing to make substantial long-term investments in the community. It offers information about available buildings, community
profiles, local demographics, industrial and commercial site availability, maps, and statistics that potential businesses generally require.

Chamber leaders work diligently with city, county and state governments to ensure Montevallo's best interests are prioritized. This work will greatly benefit the citizens of Montevallo as the Chamber strives to help recruit new businesses and industries and retain and expand those that are already part of our community. New industry recruitment is simply a strategic business model for job and investment creation. However, we must not forsake these companies once they choose to locate in Montevallo. As a result, the Chamber employs an approach to help existing industries grow from within, lower their operating costs, and promote their future successes. Small business growth and development offers additional opportunities for our community to "grow our own."
